Job Description

The Treasury Manager - Capital Markets will serve as an essential part of Ecolab's Treasury function. This role assists in the management and implementation of Ecolab's capital structure, pension and other balance sheet investment strategies that supports the Company's growth. Consequently, this position is intended for high-potential individuals who will be able to work with executives and recommend important changes to the company's treasury strategy. This St. Paul-based position reports to the Treasury Director - Capital Markets and will interact with global teams both inside and outside of the finance function.


What You Will Do:

  • Provide analytical support for recommendations on Capital Markets activities, working closely with external banking partners
  • Research, evaluate and assess financial and risk management strategies, including use of interest rate derivatives
  • Prepare presentations for the Finance Committee of the Ecolab Board of Directors and Rating Agencies
  • Manage interest expense and shares planning, forecasting, and reporting
  • Drive key initiatives of the Benefits Finance Committee, including providing analytical support for recommendations on investment policy, asset allocation, evaluation of investments and investment strategies, and funding strategy
  • Manage relationships with pension advisors and investment managers
  • Manage investment reporting and related disclosures
  • Reconcile custodian bank reports and related audit packages and participate in the monthly reconciliation process. Communicate and resolve accounting and reporting items with custodian bank, as necessary
  • Work closely with other functions and departments to drive projects and resolve issues (i.e. Investor Relations, CP&A, Human Resources, Accounting, Tax, Legal)
  • Support ad hoc Treasury projects as needed


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting including 3 years of experience in investments and treasury activities, accounting and/or financial planning and analysis
  • No immigration sponsorship available for this role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA, CFA and/or CPA
  • Experience in investment management, analysis, reporting, and portfolio management theory
  • Capital market and analysis knowledge and experience
  • Excellent analytical and financial modeling experience
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, time management and organization skills, presentation skills and problem resolution skills
  • Experience in Accounting, especially working with derivatives
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate overall business acumen and understanding of treasury operations
  • Experience in a multinational corporation or financial institution
