Description
Xcel Energy is seeking a professional to provide gas operations training for apprentices and existing journeymen at our Materials Distribution Center in Henderson, CO. This challenging position offers a unique opportunity to assist in developing a new gas operations training process. There will be travel throughout the Colorado region.
Previous experience as a journeyman gas worker is required.

Summary This position provides primary support to gas operations and is responsible for identifying, developing and/or implementing departmental, corporate, and regulatory required training initiatives. Subject matter expert within assigned area of responsibility. Provides daily direction for training program participants. Develop, deliver, administer and schedule compliance and technical training programs to bargaining, non-bargaining and management employees ensuring content and method utilized is in compliance with regulatory requirements (i.e. DOT, OSHA, EPA, State and Company policies/procedures etc.). Provide internal consulting services to operating units including all levels of management ensuring current and future regulatory and technical training requirements are met. Manage and audit record keeping process and report as required. Interface with industry, regulatory, and state agencies to ensure current and future programs are compliant. Lead or participate on training/safety teams. Participate with Joint Apprentice Training committees to ensure that apprentice training meets state certification requirements.
